Our river journey expeditions provide a unique opportunity for students to take responsibility for planning and managing their own canoe based expedition along one of the classic waterways of the UK. The expedition will be challenging and will encourage the development of leadership, teamwork, environmental awareness and self-sufficiency.

We offer 4-Day to 7-Day expeditions. Our Class Adventure instructors will accompany your group to introduce new skills and to look after all matters of safety. The students will take ownership for the duration of the programme in terms of making decisions, menu planning, navigation, route planning and camp selection. Over the course of the expedition they will develop a wide range of transferable life skills.

* NEW FOR 2013 - We can include rock climbing, trekking, and bushcraft sessions in your itinerary if requested - subject to location and programme duration. 

There may also be opportunities for the students to be assessed for the British Canoe Union (BCU) Paddle Power awards for proficiency in canoeing - * subject to availability, conditions and the expedition format.

Alternative locations can be requested and considered.
